Our Route Setter role is a casual position with the potential to grow, designed to help you learn the ropes, build your skills, and eventually take on greater responsibilities. What You’ll Bring:

  • A strong passion for climbing and enthusiasm to learn and grow as a route setter.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to creating safe and engaging climbing experiences.
  • Physical capability to work at heights and perform tasks associated with route setting.
  • Some experience in climbing or route setting is preferred, but we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and develop.

What You’ll Do:

  • Shadow experienced route setters, assisting in creating and maintaining high-quality climbing routes and boulder problems.
  • Participate in route-setting workshops, with the goal of eventually running them.
  • Support open sets and general route-setting duties to ensure a variety of engaging routes.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of climbing-related terrain and equipment, adhering to safety and risk management standards.
  • Take on supplementary floor or counter shifts as needed to support gym operations.
  • Engage with the climbing community to understand their needs and preferences, fostering inclusivity and creativity.
