Creating Uganda’s first indoor climbing gym and knowledge centre.

Mwamba Climbing Gym marks a defining step for climbing in East Africa as Uganda’s first indoor facility and knowledge centre. Developed by the Mwamba team, the project draws inspiration from local crags while aligning with international competition standards, creating a space that supports climbers from first experience through to high performance. As a social enterprise, the gym focuses on accessibility and community growth through outreach, education, and inclusive access, helping establish a strong foundation for climbing in Uganda and creating pathways for African climbers to train, compete, and grow on the global stage.
