YMCA Camp Warrawee
Message from the Architect:
“The YMCA Camping (Warrawee Site) is located in the Beautiful Moreton Bay Region of South East Queensland.
We were engaged with the client to design a fun and accessible climbing space for schools and groups that frequent the facility.
Comprising of gentle-to-gentle-steep angles – the wall is ideal for route setting, with big open planes to unlock creativity and inspire.
The paintwork designed was more of a complex approach. When adding more complexity to the paintwork we can really change the personality of the wall, create additional geometry and appeal.
The colours we went for are in alignment with the YMCA branding which really helped connect the design to the location.
As climbing increases in popularity – we believe that having these walls, whether small or large, throughout pockets of our community really helps the industry and sport to grow in a myriad of ways.
Allowing people to discover the culture of climbing that could change their life through as many opportunities that are available.”
